Summary

Isla de la plata is considered as "the small Galapagos" is located 40 kilometres from the coast of Puerto Lopez. It's part of the Parque Nacional Machalilla it's one of the most important tourist attractions in the area because it acts as a shelter and nesting site for marine birds such as blue footed pikeman, red, and masked frigates, pelicans, tropical birds, albatrosses, and sealions. It is an ideal place for diving and snorkeling since here you will find coral reef on the Ecuadorian coast and between the months of June to September there are many whales that can be observed.

The transportation is done by yachts with a capacity of 16 people. They are equipped with two engines, a lifebuoy, bathroom, communication systems and life jackets.

Itinerary

9H3O:     Departure from Puerto López.

10:30 :    Whale watching. (June - Septembre )

11h00:    Arrival to La Plata Island

11:30:     Hike through the trails of the island fto observe seabirds

14:30:      Box Lunch.

15:00:     Snorkeling practice.

16h30:  Return to Puerto López.
