This is the case of the Volunteer Program of Puerto Lopez - Machalilla, where our mission is to contribute to the valuable task of working for the conservation of marine and terrestrial biodiversity, to strengthen ties with the community through community work such as assistance in medical centers, citizen awareness through discussions with students, recovery of threatened areas through reforestation, rescue and care of endangered species such as whales, turtles and seabirds, allows volunteers to connect with the community they will not only support conservation programs, but participants have sometimes changed their way of seeing and acting and have become so empowered that they have become the main collaborators and have spread these good  practices to the world. It is thanks to the help of volunteers who believe in the importance of conservation of endangered species and direct work, that we can carry out our project and let the world know the results.

It is important to emphasize that our tour operator is an organization that provides tourist services to tourists and visitors but for its high social and environmental responsibility supports volunteer programs. Its mission is the conservation of ecosystems, marine resources of Ecuador and involvement with the community. Our work area is basically the communities near Puerto Lopez such as Machalilla and the start of the county but especially the area of the Machalilla National Park where volunteers develop their activities based on the legal regulations and the application of the protected area.

Our organization accepts volunteers throughout the year, and those interested can be integrated into ongoing projects at any time. Especially in the programs that are currently underway.
